OCEANOLOGIA is a scientific journal published under the auspices of the Committee for Marine Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Original articles in the field of oceanology, published exclusively in English, appear quarterly. OCEANOLOGIA presents original papers on research into natural processes occurring in the marine environment — physical, chemical, biological and seabed geomorphological. The journal is indexed in Web of Science, Science Citation Index Expanded, ScienceDirect, Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts, Current Contents, DOAJ, INSPEC, Scopus, EBSCO Environment Index (CORE) and Zoological Record.
This is an open-access journal, meaning that all content is freely available to the users or their institution without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking the publisher's or the author's prior permission. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
